In between Palm Beach and Nobbys Beach on the coast line of the Gold Coast is Burleigh Heads with it's national park consisting of a bush covered headland reaching out to the sea providing walking tracks with spectacular views both north and south along the coastline.

Burleigh surf beach is popular with local surfers near to the headland, for fishing and relaxing in the temperal climate of the region on what is a clean and well maitained beachfront. At the southern end of the beach near the headland you can also find very popular restuarants providing ocean and coastline views.

Accommodation in Burleigh Heads can be found along the Esplanade which runs parallel to the beach and at the foot of the headland consisting mostly of apartment accommodation some with resort style facilities. Burleigh Heads is popular with family holiday makers and is well serviced by public transport that runs up and down the Gold Coast Highway.
