Fingal Head and Cook Island

Panoramic Photo stretching from Fingal Head across the surf to Cook Island. Fingal Head is in Northern New South Wales near to Tweed Heads. In 1878 a lighthouse was built on top of the headland which still operates today. The waters around Cook Island are a marine reserve and is popular with divers and for fishing (outside of the reserve). Fingal Head features a sheltered break where you'll often find surfers and the beachfront is undeveloped, sustaining a beautiful natural area.
