Outdoor Stage

The HOTA Outdoor Stage is unlike any other venue in the world. Situated within the Gold Coast Cultural Precinct amongst 3000m² of manicured lawns, it boasts a full theatrical fit out and stunning backdrop views of the Surfers Paradise skyline.

A truly versatile space offering various configurations for performances and events, the Outdoor Stage can be used for everything from full-scale concerts and festival style performances to bespoke cocktail parties and exclusive high-end dinners.

The award-winning venue features a one of a kind proscenium door opening to reveal a 280m 2 stage, perfect for a large orchestra or surprise dinner location. Customisable façade lighting that reflects off the architectural shade structure and a living green roof ensure your event is complemented with both originality and creativity. The possibilities are endless in this beautiful outdoor space.

Panorama Room

The bright and airy Panorama Room opens onto a large elevated balcony with unrivaled 180-degree views of the river and Surfers Paradise, stunning by day and by night.

Its private outlook and location makes the Panorama Room a perfect space for exclusive workshops, boutique conferences, intimate cocktail parties, stunning dinners and small weddings.

Lakeside Room

The Lakeside Room supports limitless event opportunities with a large open carpeted floor space flanked by an 8mtr wide proscenium arch stage at one end, and doors opening onto a covered terrace at the other that overlooks Evandale Lake, the Nerang River and the Surfers Paradise skyline.

This versatile room is suitable for anything from a corporate gala dinner, cabaret performance, a trade show, conference or elegant cocktail event. The Lakeside Room makes for a fantastic intimate live music or performance space suitable for up to 500.

Theatre 1

Theatre 1 at HOTA, Home of the Arts is an 1128 seat auditorium with two levels including balcony. Equipped with an orchestra pit, which can also be raised to extend the stage or positioned to include additional seating.

With world-class sound and lighting systems and all seats providing uninterrupted views of the stage, Theatre 1 offers full facilities for any traditional theatre production as well as corporate events and conferences.

The large stage area can be utilised as a unique event space for a dinner or elegant cocktail function with a true theatrical element.

Parklands

Located in the centre of the city, these parklands are a beautiful location for a stroll, picnic, swim or jog, the parklands offer amazing views over the Nerang River. The Surfers Paradise skyline is your backdrop, making a beautiful photographic opportunity. There are ample picnic areas with barbecues and shaded seating in the parklands.

HOTA Parklands is also home to a swimming lagoon, popular with nippers training and recreational swims. The lagoon offers a sheltered swimming environment and is supported by surrounding amenities including toilets and showers perfect for that after swim refresh.

HOTA Gallery

The new HOTA Gallery will open in early 2021. And with unexpected art indoors and out, HOTA, Home of the Arts will become a must-see cultural destination.

Inspired by William Robinson’s stunning Rainforest painting, the Gallery will be adaptable, collaborative, unique and playful, just like our city. HOTA Gallery will be the largest public gallery outside a capital city in Australia with the ability and ambition to present exhibitions and projects of national and international scale.
